Hurricane Harvey Part III

Everyone was out there helping people. We had so many volunteers that people were getting turned away. Food and water being handed out. The beauty of a disaster is in the recovery. It truly was a sight to see. Everyone said this was a Houston thing. While Houston is a beautiful city I have been on a lot of storms because SERVPRO of Katy Cypress and Champions 1960 is a disaster recovery storm response team. This is a people thing. Everywhere I have been for storms I see cities destroyed. People’s lives in ruin. Somehow, every time, I see the entire community come together and help. Restore. Rebuild. It is like the idea of coal to diamond. Sometimes some pressure can make something bad turn into a beautiful thing. People are good. People are beautiful.
