Its that wonderful time of year for grills, pools, beach, family, friends and play. For most, it the best time of year. For others, it can be the most dangerous time of year. They say that Houston has been dubbed one of the most air-conditioned city in the nation. The locals here know that during the dead of the summer, to carry a sweater for the freezing restaurants, malls, and theaters that are running air conditioning at full blast. We have all been here. How bout those who do not have access to running air conditioning? What do they do when the summer month hit their peak in heat? During the dead of the summer here in Texas, temperatures can reach as high at 105-109 degrees with the heat index. This can prove to be highly dangerous for young children and the elderly. Here at SERVPRO of Katy/Cypress, we want to express to the fine people of our community to stay hydrated while staying out of the sun and heat if you can help it. Look for signs of heat exhaustion and help if you can. We share this community together.
